Several Injured As Explosions Rock Istanbul's Sultanahmet Square

An explosion has torn through Istanbul's historic Sultanahmet district this morning, killing at least 10 people. The district is the city's main sightseeing area, and is home to the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace.

The governor of Istanbul confirmed 10 people had lost their lives, and 15 had been injured.

The cause of the blast has not yet been confirmed, but there are reports that it could have been a suicide bomb attack. An investigation into the cause is underway.
